Biologique Recherche Lait S.R. is a lightweight purifying cleansing milk designed specifically for combination and oily Skin Instants experiencing excess sebum, shine or congestion. Its fresh, fluid texture removes makeup, impurities and excess surface oil without leaving a heavy or greasy film behind. Rather than aggressively stripping oil from the skin, Lait S.R. cleanses while helping preserve the skin's natural balance and protective barrier. Sebum plays an important role in the skin's protective hydrolipidic film, so the goal is not to remove all oil: it is to remove excess sebum, makeup, sunscreen and environmental debris while respecting the skin underneath. That tight, squeaky-clean feeling is not necessarily a sign of a better cleanse. After cleansing, skin feels fresh, comfortable and clean, with a more balanced, shine-free appearance. It is particularly interesting for anyone who wants the comfort of a cleansing milk but finds traditional rich cleansers too heavy for combination or oil-prone skin.

How to use

Apply Lait S.R. over the entire face, neck and décolleté.

Emulsify using light smoothing movements, working from the inside outward and from the décolleté upward toward the face.

Remove using wet cotton pads.

Repeat until makeup and impurities have been completely removed.

Follow with the Lotion P50 selected for your Skin Instant, then the serums, creams and finishing products selected for your current Skin Instant.

Avoid contact with the eyes. For external use only.

A cleanser does not need to do the job of every product that follows it: when blemishes and excess sebum are part of the picture, a targeted serum such as Complexe Iribiol can take over after the Lotion P50.

Yes. It is particularly suited to combination and oil-prone Skin Instants where excess sebum, shine or congestion are concerns.
Is Lait S.R. good for blemish-prone skin?
It can be particularly appropriate when blemishes occur alongside excess sebum and congestion. Its primary role is cleansing and rebalancing; active imperfections may call for additional targeted products in the routine.
Does Lait S.R. shrink pores?
No cleanser can permanently shrink or close pores. By thoroughly removing excess sebum and impurities, Lait S.R. can help support a cleaner, more refined-looking complexion. If visible pore size is your main concern, a targeted serum such as Dermopore may be more appropriate.
Will Lait S.R. dry out oily skin?
It is designed to remove excess sebum without disrupting the skin's natural balance. If your skin consistently feels tight or uncomfortable after cleansing, that is something we would want to reassess.
Is Lait S.R. suitable for sensitive skin?
It is not the cleanser Biologique Recherche specifically recommends for fragile or reactive Skin Instants. If sensitivity or barrier fragility is your main concern, Lait Dermo-S may be the more targeted choice.
Should I rinse Lait S.R. with water?
Biologique Recherche recommends removing it with wet cotton pads and repeating the application until impurities are completely removed.
