Aerolase?

Aerolase Neo Elite is a non-ablative 1064 nm Nd:YAG laser. It delivers energy in short, 650-microsecond pulses without removing the skin’s surface.

1064 nm · A specific wavelength

Light reaches targets beneath the surface, including pigment and vascular structures, according to the concern being treated.

650 microseconds · Brief pulses

Short energy pulses are designed to limit heat spreading to surrounding tissue. Sensation is often described as warmth; individual comfort varies.

Non-ablative · Surface-preserving

Neo does not remove the skin’s outer layer. It is different from Aerolase Era and other ablative resurfacing lasers.

Aerolase Neo has been studied in Fitzpatrick skin types I–VI, including darker skin. That matters when pigment changes are a concern. Your skin tone, recent sun exposure and history of post-inflammatory pigmentation still need careful consideration.

Suitable technology does not mean everyone is a suitable candidate. Burns, pigment changes and other adverse effects remain possible.

Before your visit

Tell us about pregnancy or breastfeeding, medications including isotretinoin or photosensitising medicines, active infections, recent tanning and previous pigment changes. Follow your individual preparation instructions; do not stop prescribed medication on your own.

How many Aerolase sessions will I need?

A series is usually needed. Our current service guidance suggests 4–6 sessions, but your concern, skin response and goals determine the number and spacing. Maintenance may be recommended.

Does Aerolase hurt?

Many people describe brief warmth. Comfort varies with the area and treatment settings. Topical numbing is often unnecessary; we discuss what to expect before beginning.

Is there downtime after Aerolase?

Many clients resume normal activities soon after treatment. Temporary redness, warmth, swelling or dryness can occur. Your aftercare instructions take priority, including advice about heat, exercise and active products.

Can Aerolase be used on darker skin?

Neo has been studied across skin types I–VI. Appropriate settings and assessment are essential, particularly with a history of pigment changes. A recent tan or sunburn must be discussed before treatment.

Can Aerolase permanently remove melasma?

No permanent clearance can be promised. Melasma can recur, and procedures can sometimes worsen pigmentation. A dermatologist-guided plan, sun protection and appropriate home care are important.

Does Aerolase treat acne scars?

It may help the appearance of some post-acne redness, pigment and texture. Indented scars are different from flat marks and may need another treatment or a combination approach after assessment.
