Therabody ThermFace Massage combines targeted percussion and adjustable warmth to help ease minor jaw and facial muscle tension. A compact device for a few thoughtful minutes of massage at home.

What is ThermFace Massage?

This handheld facial massager uses 5 mm percussion with three speeds and optional heat through its Heated Percussive Attachment. Four interchangeable heads let you adapt the massage to different muscles of the face, jaw and the neck areas shown in the user manual. The device is designed for temporary relief of minor muscle pain, tension and soreness.

Choose your attachment

• Heated Percussive: combines warmth and massage on suitable muscular areas, such as the sides of the jaw.
• Dampener: the softest introduction to facial percussion; use on the forehead and temples as directed.
• Wedge: a broader contact surface for larger approved muscle areas.
• Cone: focused contact for smaller areas of muscle tension. Never use around the eyes.

How to use

1. Read the manual’s approved zones and precautions. Secure long hair and change attachments only while the device is switched off.
2. For your first 3–5 sessions, use the Dampener at the lowest speed. Start with 15–20 seconds per zone and a total of 2–3 minutes.
3. Glide lightly over approved muscle areas. Let the device do the work; avoid pressing hard or holding it still on a sore point.
4. Once comfortable, follow the manual or app’s guided routines, usually around 30 seconds per zone. If adding heat, begin with the lowest setting.
5. Switch off after use, clean as directed and store dry. Do not use while charging.

Precautions and care

Do not use on the eyes or anywhere around the eye socket, eyelids or brow bone; nose; lips, mouth or chin; ears; throat or front of the neck; or crown of the head. Avoid broken, inflamed, sunburned or infected skin, active acne, areas with reduced sensation, and recent injection or surgical sites. Stop if use causes pain. For persistent jaw pain, a diagnosed jaw condition, recent dental work or uncertainty about suitability, ask your healthcare provider before use.

Switch off and unplug before cleaning. Follow the manufacturer’s cleaning protocol, including the specified 70% isopropyl alcohol disinfection steps. Let the device and heads dry fully. Do not immerse or rinse under running water.

Frequently asked questions

Does ThermFace Massage include LED or microcurrent?
No. It provides percussive massage and optional heat; it does not provide LED light, microcurrent or cooling.

Can I use it without heat?
Yes. Percussion can be used without heat. Heat requires the Heated Percussive Attachment and works only while percussion is active.

Is the app required?
No. The device buttons control the three speeds and heat levels. The optional Therabody app adds guided routines and compatible settings.

Can it replace care for TMJ pain or teeth grinding?
No. It is intended for temporary relief of minor muscle discomfort. A dentist or healthcare provider should assess ongoing jaw pain, locking or grinding.
