Gluconolactone and salicylic acid
Gluconolactone, a gentle polyhydroxy acid, helps smooth the look of the skin while supporting hydration; salicylic acid helps clarify and refine the look of pores.
Phytic acid and papain

- Start with clean skin: Cleanse and pat your skin dry.
- Apply The Essence: Pat it in with your fingertips, or sweep it on with a cotton pad, avoiding the eye area. Let it absorb for a few moments.
- Follow with serum and moisturizer: Continue with The Serum, then your Augustinus Bader moisturizer or face oil.
- Finish with SPF: In the morning, sunscreen is always the last step.

How to use
- Cleanse and pat your skin dry.
- Pat The Essence into the face, neck and décolleté with your fingertips, or sweep it on with a cotton pad. Avoid the eye area.
- Let it absorb for a few moments, then follow with The Serum and your Augustinus Bader moisturizer or face oil.
- In the morning, finish with sunscreen.
The Essence contains exfoliating ingredients. If your skin is sensitive, or you already use retinol, exfoliating acids or other active treatments, introduce it gradually and alternate nights with retinol at first. If skin feels dry or reactive, reduce frequency and focus on hydration.
