Worth knowing
A closer look at your skin, your routine and what goes into the formula.
Meltdown Acne Oil is a lightweight, fast-absorbing facial oil made for blemish-prone and sensitive-feeling skin. It is a gentle alternative to drying spot treatments, for skin that breaks out and feels dehydrated at the same time.
A blend of black cumin seed, rosehip and tamanu oils, with blue tansy, tea tree, Roman chamomile and helichrysum, helps clear the look of blemishes, visibly calm redness and soften the look of post-blemish marks. A base of sunflower, jojoba, safflower and sesame oils keeps skin comfortable.
Use one drop directly on a blemish, or mix one drop into your moisturizer for wider breakout-prone areas. It contains essential oils, so it has a natural herbal scent and is not fragrance-free.
Blemish-prone skin is often dehydrated too, and harsh spot treatments can leave it tight and flaky. This oil takes a calmer approach: one drop, only where you need it, on skin that stays comfortable. We like it most in simple routines, where it can do its work without competing with several other actives.
Blemish-prone, dehydrated skin
Less is more: one drop, only where you need it, works better than layering several drops across the face.
Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Oil, Nigella Sativa Seed Oil, Rosa Moschata (Rosehip) Seed Oil, Calophyllum Inophyllum Seed Oil, Melaleuca Alternifolia (Tea Tree) Leaf Oil, Olea Europaea (Olive) Leaf Extract, Tanacetum Annuum Flower/Leaf/Stem Oil, Anthemis Nobilis (Roman Chamomile) Oil, Helichrysum Italicum Flower Oil, Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil, Rosmarinus Officinalis (Rosemary) Leaf Extract, Bisabolol, Carthamus Tinctorius (Safflower) Seed Oil, Sesamum Indicum (Sesame) Seed Oil, Withania Somnifera Root Extract, Bala (Sida Cordifolia) Root Extract.
Press one drop onto a blemish as the last step of your routine, or mix one drop into your moisturizer for wider areas.
It was made with sensitive, blemish-prone skin in mind, but it contains essential oils. Patch test first if your skin is reactive.
No parfum is added, but tea tree, blue tansy, chamomile and helichrysum oils give it a natural herbal scent.
No. It relies on a blend of botanical oils instead.
Not when used as directed. Start with one drop; too much can feel heavy.
Yes, within the same routine, but introduce Meltdown on its own first and avoid layering everything on the same night.

Blume Meltdown Acne Oil Treatment is a lightweight, fast-absorbing facial oil designed for acne-prone, breakout-prone and sensitive skin.
Rather than relying on an aggressive, drying approach, Meltdown combines black cumin seed, rosehip, tamanu, blue tansy and tea tree oils to help visibly calm the appearance of active blemishes, reduce the look of redness and support a more balanced-looking complexion.
Its concentrated, non-comedogenic formula can be used in two ways: apply one drop directly to individual blemishes or mix a small amount into your daily moisturizer for more widespread breakout-prone areas. The oil absorbs without leaving the skin feeling excessively greasy, making it easy to incorporate into a morning or evening routine.
Meltdown is especially helpful for skin that experiences blemishes alongside dehydration, visible irritation or discomfort from traditional acne products.
Meltdown is a beautiful option when blemishes and dehydration appear at the same time.
We especially recommend it for someone who wants targeted blemish care but finds that conventional acne products leave their skin feeling tight, flaky or uncomfortable. Begin by applying one drop only where needed rather than immediately using it across the entire face.
Because Meltdown contains an aromatic blend of botanical and essential oils, we recommend patch testing before your first full application—particularly if your skin is highly reactive or sensitive to essential oils.
Avoid layering it for the first time on the same evening as multiple exfoliating acids, retinoids or other intensive treatments. A calm, consistent routine will usually support the skin more effectively than trying to treat a blemish with everything at once.

Meltdown was created with sensitive and acne-prone skin in mind. However, it contains botanical essential oils, so individual sensitivities may vary. Patch test the product before introducing it fully.
Yes. Apply one drop directly to individual blemishes using clean fingertips. A very small amount is usually sufficient.
Yes. For broader application, mix one drop into your moisturizer rather than applying several drops of undiluted oil across the face.
Yes. Its lightweight texture can be used in a morning or evening routine. Always finish your morning skincare with broad-spectrum sunscreen.
Yes. Allow the product to absorb before applying makeup. Using only a small amount will help prevent the complexion from feeling overly oily.
Yes. It may be applied to targeted blemishes on areas such as the chest, shoulders or back.
No. Meltdown uses a blend of botanical oils rather than salicylic acid or benzoyl peroxide.
Not necessarily. Meltdown is formulated as a lightweight, non-comedogenic oil. Begin with one drop, as applying too much may feel heavy and may not be appropriate for every complexion.
It may be possible to use them within the same overall routine, but we recommend introducing Meltdown separately first. Highly reactive skin may benefit from alternating intensive products rather than layering everything together.
