How It Works

ThermBack LED brings four approaches to lower back comfort into one wrap.

• Heat warms the lower back and helps relax tense muscles.
• Far-infrared therapy accompanies the heat setting to provide a warming effect and temporarily support circulation.
• Near-infrared LED light provides a separate light-based therapy. For this feature to be effective, the LED area needs direct contact with skin.
• Vibration offers a gentle massage sensation with Low, High and Wave patterns.

The adjustable wrap holds the therapies against the lower back while allowing you to move comfortably.

Clinical Results

In a University at Buffalo crossover study reported by Therabody, 140 people with lower back pain completed periods of using ThermBack LED and of using no device. Participants reported lower pain intensity and less interference with daily activities during device use. How to Use

1. Wrap ThermBack LED around your lower back and secure the adjustable straps. Keep it comfortably snug without restricting circulation.
2. Press and hold the power button. Select Low, Medium or High heat, and choose Low, High or Wave vibration if desired.
3. Near-infrared LED starts automatically when the device is turned on; press its button if you wish to switch it off.
4. Allow the session to finish or turn the device off sooner if needed.

Session timing: Heat and vibration run for up to 20 minutes. Near-infrared LED switches off after 10 minutes, its recommended treatment time.

For near-infrared LED use, wear the wrap directly against skin. If you wear it over clothing, select “Over clothes” in the Therabody app for the appropriate heat adjustment. Never select that setting while the wrap touches bare skin.

If you plan another session later in the day, Therabody recommends Low heat for repeated use and no more than three 20-minute sessions daily. Do not wear the device while sleeping, including during a nap. Review the user manual’s precautions before use, particularly if you have a back condition, an implanted device or reduced sensitivity to heat.
