Its creamy formula combines nourishing botanical lipids, humectants and soothing ingredients to help comfort the skin while supporting its natural protective barrier. Rather than relying on strong actives, it brings together hydrating, emollient and soothing ingredients.

Sensitivity is not always a permanent skin type; sometimes it is a temporary Skin Instant. Skin can become more reactive after climate changes, excessive exfoliation, an overly complicated routine, dry indoor heating, travel or periods of dehydration. Masque Biosensible is designed for exactly this moment: its role is not to push the skin harder, but to help bring back comfort, moisture and protection.

After 15 minutes, the complexion feels softer, calmer and more comfortable, while visible signs of irritation appear reduced.

When your skin feels reactive, keep the evening simple: mask, soothing serum, cream, and no exfoliation.

How to use

1. Cleanse, then use the Lotion P50 selected for your Skin Instant only if your skin is currently tolerating it comfortably.
2. Apply a thin, even layer of Masque Biosensible over the face, neck and décolleté, avoiding the eye contour area.
3. Leave on for 15 minutes.
4. Emulsify with cold water, then rinse thoroughly using moistened non-woven gauze or soft cotton.
5. Follow with the Biologique Recherche serums and cream appropriate for your Skin Instant.
6. Avoid contact with the eyes. Do not use on children under 3 years of age. For external use only.

Is Masque Biosensible good for redness?

It can help reduce the appearance of flushing and irritation associated with sensitive skin. Persistent redness can have many causes, so we would not position one cosmetic mask as the answer to every type of redness.

Does it strengthen the skin barrier?

Biologique Recherche describes its protective ingredients as helping strengthen the skin's natural barrier. We prefer to describe it as barrier-supportive rather than promising that one mask can fully restore a significantly compromised barrier.

Does Masque Biosensible contain clay?

Yes. Kaolin is the second ingredient in the current formula. However, the mask is positioned as soothing, moisturizing and protective rather than as a purifying clay mask.

Should I rinse it with warm or cold water?

The current manufacturer instructions specify cold water, after 15 minutes on the skin.

Can I use it after over-exfoliating?

If the skin is simply feeling mildly sensitized, Masque Biosensible may provide soothing support. If the skin is significantly irritated, broken, burning or severely compromised, stop active products and seek appropriate professional guidance rather than adding more products.

What is the difference with Toleskin [M]?

Masque Biosensible is a cream mask for ongoing soothing, hydration and barrier-supportive comfort. Toleskin [M] is an intensive single-use calming mask for more acute visible redness, significant discomfort and very low tolerance.

Does it contain nuts?

Yes. The formula contains ingredients derived from macadamia. If you have a nut allergy, please book a consultation with one of our estheticians before purchasing.

Consultations are available virtually through Google Meet or in person at our Edmonton boutique. An appointment is required.

In the event of a reaction, Biologique Recherche requires photos of the reaction and the product, the lot number found on the product or the bottom of the box, and proof of a consultation with one of our estheticians before they can review the concern.
