The Loshen perspective

Why you’ll love it.

A second skin while you sleep.

Night Protection is the step we add when skin wakes up tight or dehydrated, especially in winter or during retinol and acid weeks. Its breathable silicone film holds in hydration and everything applied before it, with glycerin and allantoin for comfort.

It is not a nourishing cream on its own: think of it as the lid on your routine. Dry skin will still want a moisturizer like Derma Rich underneath.

Skin knowledge

Beyond the ingredient list.

Night Protection or Derma Rich Moisturizer?

They do different jobs. Derma Rich is a nourishing cream: it brings hydration and lipids into the skin. Night Protection is a barrier veil: it seals in what is already there and limits water loss while you sleep.

Our lens: if your skin is dry, use both, Derma Rich first and a thin layer of Night Protection on top. If your skin is dehydrated but not dry, a serum and Night Protection alone are often enough.

Is this right for you?

A little guidance for your next step.

A thoughtful choice if…

Your skin wakes up tight or dehydrated, you use retinol or acids, or winter air leaves your skin feeling stripped, and you want a lightweight last step that holds everything in.

Consider first…

It is a sealing step rather than a nourishing cream, so dry skin still needs a moisturizer underneath. It contains lavender oil: if you react to essential oils, patch test first.

Product questions

Your questions, answered.

A few useful details before making it part of your routine.

Can I use it with retinol?

Yes, that is one of its best uses. Apply your retinol, let it settle, then smooth on a thin layer of Night Protection to help keep skin comfortable.

Do I still need a moisturizer?

If your skin is dry, yes: Night Protection seals, it does not nourish. If your skin is only dehydrated, a hydrating serum underneath may be enough.

Can I wear it during the day?

Yes. Use a thin layer and always follow with sunscreen in the morning.

Will it clog my pores?

It is lightweight and non-greasy. If you are breakout-prone, use a thin layer and start a few nights a week to see how your skin responds.

Can I use it around the eyes?

No. Biophora recommends avoiding the eye area. Use an eye cream such as Intensive Eye Treatment there instead.

Worth the wait.
