Is L’Eauxygénante Still an “Oxygenating” Mist?
L’Eauxygénante has historically been known as Biologique Recherche's oxygenating facial mist.
The current generation has evolved.
Biologique Recherche now officially positions L’Eauxygénante as an epidermal preparation mist focused on:
- Hydration
- Radiance
- Toning
- Skin comfort
- Makeup hold
The previous formula contained the brand's older Specific Oxygenating Complex and ingredients such as Perfluorodecalin.
Those ingredients are no longer present in the current formula.
For this reason, at Loshen & Crem we prefer to describe today's L’Eauxygénante according to what the current product actually does:
hydrate + refresh + tone + restore visible radiance.
Why Can Dehydrated Skin Look Dull?
Hydration affects more than how comfortable your skin feels.
When the outer layers of the epidermis contain adequate water, the skin surface tends to appear smoother and reflect light more evenly.
When hydration levels drop, skin can appear:

Biologique Recherche specifically links optimal hydration with epidermal barrier function, skin comfort and the way light reflects from the skin's surface.

L’Eauxygénante can be a beautiful step after your appropriate Lotion P50.
Their roles are very different:
- Lotion P50 → exfoliate + prepare + rebalance
- L’Eauxygénante → hydrate + tone + refresh
After applying Lotion P50 and allowing it to settle, mist L’Eauxygénante over the complexion before continuing with your serums.
This can be particularly beautiful when the skin appreciates additional comfort and hydration after the exfoliating step.
L’Eauxygénante vs. Eau Micellaire Biosensible
Despite both being lightweight facial waters, these products are not interchangeable.
L’Eauxygénante is an epidermal preparation and refreshing mist focused on:

Yes.
Biologique Recherche specifically states that L’Eauxygénante helps improve makeup hold, and it may be reapplied during the day.
We particularly like a light mist over finished makeup when the complexion begins to look dry, flat or tired.
Hold the bottle away from the face and mist lightly rather than saturating the makeup.
Is L’Eauxygénante Good for Travel?
It is one of our favourite Biologique Recherche travel products.
Air travel, air conditioning, heating and changes in climate can all affect the skin's hydration balance and comfort.
The 50 ml format makes it particularly easy to keep close during travel and reapply whenever the skin begins to feel tight or look tired.

Can L’Eauxygénante be used over makeup?
Yes.

Can L’Eauxygénante be used as a setting spray?
