A 10% mandelic acid peel-pad treatment for clearer, smoother and more even-looking skin

Le Mieux Perfect Renewal is an at-home peel-pad system formulated with 10% mandelic acid to refine uneven texture, congested-looking pores, excess oil and post-blemish discoloration. Suitable for the face and body, it offers a practical way to address roughness and blemish-prone areas across the back, shoulders and chest as well as the complexion.

Mandelic acid has a larger molecular structure than glycolic acid and generally penetrates the skin more gradually. This makes it a thoughtful option for clients who find traditional glycolic treatments difficult to tolerate—although 10% mandelic acid remains an active exfoliating concentration and should still be introduced carefully.

Hyaluronic acid, beta-glucan, allantoin and components of the skin’s natural moisturizing factors complement the exfoliating action, while alpha-arbutin, licorice root extract and niacinamide support a brighter, more even-looking complexion.

Important: Mandelic acid is derived from bitter almonds. Le Mieux does not recommend this product for those with nut allergies.

Benefits
  • Exfoliates dead surface cells and visible buildup
  • Helps clarify congested and blemish-prone areas
  • Refines rough or uneven-looking texture
  • Helps improve the appearance of post-blemish discoloration
  • Supports a brighter, more luminous complexion
  • Softens the appearance of fine lines and surface irregularities
  • Helps reduce the look of excess oil without an alcohol-based formula
  • Can be used on the face, neck, back, shoulders and chest
  • Includes hydrating and comforting ingredients to support skin balance
Best For

Perfect Renewal is particularly well suited to:

  • Uneven or rough-looking texture
  • Dullness and loss of radiance
  • Congested-looking pores
  • Blemish-prone skin
  • Flat post-blemish marks
  • Uneven-looking skin tone
  • Early visible fine lines
  • Back, shoulder or chest blemishes
  • Clients who find glycolic acid difficult to tolerate
  • Normal, combination, oily or carefully selected sensitive skin

This product should not be used by those with nut allergies. It is also unsuitable for broken, freshly picked, sunburned or significantly barrier-impaired skin.

Why It Is Different

Perfect Renewal pairs a concentrated 10% level of mandelic acid with brightening, hydrating and skin-comforting ingredients. Unlike many clarifying acid treatments, the published formula does not list denatured alcohol or added fragrance.

The solution and pads are packaged separately. Pouring the liquid into the jar before first use saturates the pads and creates an easy, measured treatment for the face or body.

  • 10% Mandelic Acid: Exfoliates dead surface cells to improve the appearance of texture, congestion, discoloration and fine lines.
  • Hyaluronic Acid: Attracts moisture to help maintain hydration during an exfoliating routine.
  • Alpha-Arbutin: Helps improve the appearance of uneven pigmentation and post-blemish marks.
  • Licorice Root Extract: Provides antioxidant and complexion-brightening benefits.
  • Niacinamide: Supports the skin barrier and a brighter, more balanced-looking complexion.
  • Beta-Glucan and Allantoin: Help comfort and condition the skin.
  • Sodium PCA, Sodium Lactate, Urea and Sugars: Components associated with the skin’s natural moisturizing factors that support hydration and softness.
How to Use

Use in the evening.

Before the first application, pour the solution into the jar of dry pads. Close the jar securely and allow the pads to become evenly saturated.

After cleansing, use one to two saturated pads to make two to three gentle passes over the face and neck, avoiding the eyes, lips and broken skin. Do not scrub and do not rinse. Allow the solution to absorb before applying a hydrating serum and moisturizer.

If you are new to mandelic acid or have sensitive skin, begin with one pad and a single pass once or twice weekly. Increase gradually only if the skin remains comfortable.

For the body, apply to clean, dry areas such as the back, shoulders or chest. Use a fresh pad rather than transferring a pad already used on the face.

Apply broad-spectrum sunscreen every morning while using this product.

Loshen & Crem’s Recommendation

Perfect Renewal may be described as gentle, but gentle does not mean inactive. A 10% mandelic acid formula can still cause dryness or irritation when used too frequently or combined with several other exfoliating treatments.

Begin once or twice weekly. One well-saturated pad and a single even pass may be enough, particularly for sensitive or acid-naive skin. More passes create more exposure—they do not automatically create better results.

Avoid using Perfect Renewal in the same evening as Beta Acid, 5% Glyco Polymer Solution, retinoids, strong vitamin C formulas or another exfoliating treatment. Pause use around waxing, laser treatments, professional peels or other procedures according to your skincare professional’s instructions.

Keep the jar tightly closed after adding the solution so the pads remain saturated. If your skin begins feeling tight, unusually shiny, persistently red or sensitive to products that normally feel comfortable, pause exfoliation and focus on barrier support.

Complete the Le Mieux Renewal Routine
  1. Cleanse: Phyto-Nutrient Cleansing Gel
  2. Exfoliate: Perfect Renewal one to three evenings per week
  3. Hydrate: Hyaluronic Serum after the peel solution has absorbed
  4. Soothe: O² Calming Gel or a moisturizer suited to your skin
  5. Protect: Apply broad-spectrum sunscreen every morning

On Perfect Renewal evenings, keep the rest of the routine simple. There is no need to add another acid, scrub or retinoid.

Perfect Renewal, Beta Acid or 5% Glyco Polymer Solution?

Although all three products exfoliate, they are formulated for different priorities.

  • Choose Perfect Renewal for uneven tone, post-blemish marks, dullness, texture and blemish-prone face or body areas. Its 10% mandelic acid formula is alcohol-free according to the published INCI and includes several hydrating and brightening ingredients.
  • Choose Beta Acid when excess oil, blackheads and persistent clogged-looking pores are the primary concerns. It combines salicylic and lactic acids in a fast-drying alcohol-based solution.
  • Choose 5% Glyco Polymer Solution when general surface renewal, rough texture, dullness and visible fine lines are the priorities. It is centred around glycolic acid.
  • Choose A&E Corrector for an individual visible blemish rather than treating the entire face.

Most clients need one primary exfoliating treatment—not a small orchestra of acids performing simultaneously.

Mandelic Acid and Glycolic Acid

Mandelic and glycolic acids are both alpha hydroxy acids, but they are not interchangeable.

Mandelic acid has a larger molecular structure and generally penetrates the skin more gradually. It is often selected for blemish-prone skin, post-blemish discoloration and clients who have difficulty tolerating glycolic acid.

Glycolic acid has a smaller molecular structure and can produce more immediate-feeling surface renewal, but some clients experience greater stinging or irritation.

A 10% mandelic acid formula is not automatically “twice as strong” as a 5% glycolic acid formula. Performance depends on the type of acid, pH, delivery system, supporting ingredients and how frequently the product is used.

Ingredients
  • 10% Mandelic Acid: Supports clearer-looking pores, smoother texture and a more even complexion.
  • Hyaluronic Acid: Attracts moisture and helps maintain skin comfort.
  • Licorice Root Extract: Helps brighten the appearance of uneven tone.
  • Alpha-Arbutin: Targets the look of discoloration and post-blemish marks.
  • Niacinamide: Supports barrier function and a balanced, even-looking complexion.
  • Beta-Glucan: Helps hydrate and comfort the skin.
  • Allantoin: Conditions and soothes.
  • Sodium PCA and Sodium Lactate: Help maintain moisture within the skin.
  • Urea: Supports hydration while helping soften rough-looking texture.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is Perfect Renewal suitable for sensitive skin?

Mandelic acid generally exfoliates more gradually than glycolic acid, and the formula contains several hydrating and comforting ingredients. However, 10% remains an active concentration. Sensitive skin should patch test and begin with one pass once weekly.

Can I use Perfect Renewal if I have a nut allergy?

No. Le Mieux states that its mandelic acid is derived from bitter almonds and does not recommend Perfect Renewal for those with nut allergies.

How often should I use the peel pads?

Begin once or twice weekly. If the skin remains comfortable, increase gradually to two or three evenings per week. Daily use is not necessary for most clients.

Do I rinse the solution off?

No. Perfect Renewal is a leave-on treatment. Allow it to absorb before applying serum and moisturizer.

Can Perfect Renewal be used on the body?

Yes. It can be applied to blemish-prone or uneven areas on the back, shoulders and chest. Avoid broken, freshly shaved or recently waxed skin.

Can it help with back and shoulder blemishes?

Mandelic acid can help exfoliate buildup, refine texture and improve the appearance of blemish-prone body areas. Perfect Renewal is not an acne medication, and persistent or painful body acne should be assessed by a dermatologist.

Will it help with acne scars?

It may improve flat post-blemish discoloration and mild surface irregularity. It will not remove indented, raised or structural acne scars.

Can Perfect Renewal cause purging?

Exfoliation can sometimes bring existing congestion to the surface more quickly. Persistent burning, itching, pronounced redness or breakouts in completely new areas are more suggestive of irritation and should not automatically be called purging.

Can I use it with retinol?

Use Perfect Renewal and retinol on separate evenings, particularly when beginning. Combining both in the same routine may cause unnecessary dryness and irritation.

Can I combine it with Beta Acid or 5% Glyco Polymer Solution?

Do not use these treatments in the same routine. Choose one primary exfoliant or alternate them according to professional guidance.

Is 10% mandelic acid stronger than 5% glycolic acid?

Not necessarily. Acid percentages cannot be compared through simple arithmetic. Molecular size, pH, formula composition and application frequency all influence how an exfoliant performs.

Can I use it after shaving or waxing?

Wait until the skin is calm and no longer sensitive. Applying an acid immediately after shaving or waxing can cause significant stinging and irritation.

How should I store the pads after adding the solution?

Keep the jar tightly closed in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and heat. Make sure the lid is secured after every use to prevent the pads from drying out.

Is Perfect Renewal fragrance-free?

No parfum or added fragrance is listed in the published ingredient list. Individual sensitivity to botanical ingredients can still vary.

Can Perfect Renewal be used during pregnancy or breastfeeding?

The formula contains alpha-arbutin in addition to mandelic acid. Pregnancy and breastfeeding safety data for many cosmetic brightening ingredients remain limited, so consult your physician or qualified healthcare provider before use.

Is sunscreen necessary?

Yes. Regular sunscreen use is essential when using exfoliating acids, particularly when uneven pigmentation or post-blemish marks are concerns.
