A rich hyaluronic acid and shea butter mask for dry, rough and moisture-depleted skin
Le Mieux Hyaluronic Shea Mask is a silky cream treatment formulated to replenish moisture, soften visible flaking and restore comfort to skin that feels dry, tight or weather-stressed. Its cushiony texture may be used as a traditional mask, an overnight treatment or a targeted balm for rough areas of the body.
Hyaluronic acid and other humectants attract moisture, while shea butter, squalane and macadamia, rice bran, borage and safflower oils help soften the skin and reduce moisture loss. Beta-glucan, aloe, panthenol and allantoin complement the richer ingredients with hydrating and comforting benefits.
The formula is particularly helpful during cold weather, after travel or whenever the complexion needs more nourishment than a lightweight gel mask can provide. Because it contains lavender and rosewood oils, fragrance-reactive skin should patch test carefully.

Best For
Hyaluronic Shea Mask is particularly well suited to:
- Dry or very dry skin
- Rough or flaky-looking texture
- Dehydration and temporary tightness
- Mature or lipid-depleted skin
- Seasonal dryness and cold-weather exposure
- Skin affected by dry indoor environments or travel
- Overnight moisture treatments
- Dry hands, fingers, elbows, ankles and heels
- Normal skin requiring occasional intensive nourishment
- Clients who prefer a rich, creamy mask
Its rich blend of shea butter and botanical oils may feel too heavy for very oily or persistently congested skin when applied across the entire face. Fragrance-reactive clients should note that the formula contains lavender oil and rosewood oil.
Why It Is Different
Hyaluronic Shea Mask combines three approaches to dryness in one treatment: humectants attract water, emollients soften rough texture and richer lipids help reduce moisture loss.
Unlike a gel mask that focuses primarily on water-based hydration, this formula contains substantial lipid support from shea butter, squalane and macadamia, rice bran, borage and safflower oils. Its cream texture can be left on the skin, making it especially practical as an overnight mask or targeted body treatment.
- Hyaluronic Acid: Attracts moisture to support a fuller, smoother and more hydrated-looking complexion.
- Shea Butter: Softens rough texture and helps reduce moisture loss.
- Squalane: Provides lightweight emollient support and helps improve skin softness.
- Macadamia Seed Oil: Conditions dry skin and replenishes surface lipids.
- Borage Seed Oil: A nourishing botanical oil rich in fatty acids that supports skin comfort.
- Rice Bran and Safflower Oils: Help soften and condition dry, depleted skin.
- Beta-Glucan: Helps hydrate and comfort the skin.
- Aloe Vera: Supports hydration and a calmer-looking complexion.
- Panthenol and Allantoin: Help condition and soothe dry, uncomfortable skin.
- Sea Lettuce Extract: An algae extract that provides moisture-supporting and conditioning benefits.
- Green Tea and Vitamin E: Provide antioxidant support.
How to Use
Apply an even layer to clean skin over the face and neck, avoiding the eyes and lips.
For a traditional masking treatment, leave on for 15 to 20 minutes. Gently remove any excess with a soft, damp towel without scrubbing.
For overnight use, apply a thinner layer as the final step of your evening routine. Leave on while sleeping and cleanse normally in the morning.
For the body, massage a small amount onto dry fingers, elbows, ankles or heels. Do not apply to open, bleeding, infected or deeply fissured skin.
Use one to three times weekly or whenever additional nourishment is needed.
Loshen & Crem’s Recommendation
This is the Le Mieux mask we reach for when skin needs cream, not another splash of water. It is particularly lovely during an Edmonton winter, after air travel or whenever the complexion begins to look flaky beneath makeup.
For a more complete moisture treatment, apply Hyaluronic Serum to slightly damp skin first and allow it to absorb. Follow with a thin layer of Hyaluronic Shea Mask to help soften and seal in hydration.
If you are using the mask overnight, more is not better. A thin, even layer is usually enough and is far less likely to migrate onto your pillowcase—or into your hair, where no skincare ritual has ever needed to go.
For rough heels or hands, apply a generous layer before bed and cover with clean cotton socks or gloves. Avoid using it on broken or bleeding skin.
Clients who are highly sensitive to fragrance or essential oils may prefer a simpler fragrance-free moisturizer, as this formula contains lavender and rosewood oils.
Complete the Le Mieux Intensive Hydration Routine
- Cleanse: Phyto-Nutrient Cleansing Gel
- Mist: Iso-Cell Recovery Solution
- Hydrate: Hyaluronic Serum while the skin remains slightly damp
- Mask: Apply Hyaluronic Shea Mask for 15 to 20 minutes or leave a thin layer overnight
- Protect: Apply broad-spectrum sunscreen every morning
On overnight-mask evenings, Hyaluronic Shea Mask should be the final step. There is generally no need to apply an additional face oil or heavy cream over it.
Hyaluronic Shea, Lavender Floral or Icy Revitalizing Mask?
Each Le Mieux mask has a different texture and purpose.
- Choose Hyaluronic Shea Mask for dryness, flaking, rough texture and lipid depletion. Its rich cream base contains shea butter, squalane and several botanical oils and may be left on overnight.
- Choose Lavender Floral Mask for lightweight gel hydration and skin that feels warm or temporarily uncomfortable. It contains lavender flower water, aloe, hyaluronic acid and botanical extracts and is removed after 15 to 20 minutes.
- Choose Icy Revitalizing Mask when excess oil, visible congestion and a heavy or slick feeling are the primary concerns. Its clay-based formula absorbs surface oil and is removed after 15 to 20 minutes.
- Use Hyaluronic Shea Mask as a targeted body treatment when hands, elbows, ankles or heels need more intensive conditioning.
A dry, flaky complexion generally benefits more from Hyaluronic Shea Mask than a clay treatment. Oily, congested skin will usually prefer Icy Revitalizing Mask.
Dry Skin and Dehydrated Skin
Dryness and dehydration are related, but they are not the same condition.
Dry skin lacks sufficient surface lipids and may feel rough, flaky or tight. Dehydrated skin lacks water and can affect any skin type, including oily skin. It may appear dull and show more visible fine dehydration lines.
Hyaluronic Shea Mask addresses both concerns. Hyaluronic acid, methyl gluceth-20 and aloe support water-based hydration, while shea butter, squalane and botanical oils replenish softness and help reduce moisture loss.
A mask can improve comfort and appearance, but persistent cracking, itching, bleeding or inflammation may indicate a skin condition requiring assessment by a dermatologist or healthcare professional.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can Hyaluronic Shea Mask be left on overnight?
Yes. Le Mieux recommends it as an overnight sleep mask. Apply a thin, even layer as the final step of your evening routine and cleanse normally the following morning.
Do I need to rinse it off?
No. You may leave it on the skin or gently remove the excess with a soft, damp towel. Avoid vigorous rubbing, particularly when the skin is already dry or flaky.
How often can I use it?
Begin one to three times weekly. Very dry skin may use it more frequently if the formula remains comfortable and does not contribute to congestion.
Is it a mask or a moisturizer?
It is formulated as a rich cream mask. On occasional overnight-treatment evenings, it may serve as the final moisturizing step. Its texture may be too rich to replace a daily moisturizer for every skin type.
Is it suitable for oily or blemish-prone skin?
The formula contains shea butter, squalane and several botanical oils, so it may feel heavy on very oily or congested skin. Consider using it only on dry areas or choosing a lighter mask. It is not an acne treatment.
Can sensitive skin use it?
Individual tolerance varies. The formula contains comforting ingredients such as beta-glucan, aloe, panthenol and allantoin, but it also contains lavender and rosewood oils. Sensitive or fragrance-reactive skin should patch test carefully.
Is Hyaluronic Shea Mask fragrance-free?
No artificial parfum is listed, but the formula contains lavender oil and rosewood oil. Those avoiding essential oils or aromatic fragrance components should review the ingredient list carefully.
Can it be used on the body?
Yes. Apply it to dry fingers, elbows, ankles or heels to soften rough-looking skin. Do not apply it to open wounds, bleeding cracks or infected areas.
Can it repair cracked skin?
It can soften and condition dry, rough skin, but it should not be described as repairing open cracks or treating a skin disorder. Painful, bleeding or persistent fissures may require professional care.
Can I use it after retinol or exfoliating acids?
Yes, provided the skin is comfortable and intact. If the skin is burning, markedly red or visibly compromised, pause active products and consider a simple fragrance-free moisturizer instead.
Will hyaluronic acid permanently fill fine lines?
No. Hyaluronic acid attracts water and may temporarily make dehydration lines look softer and fuller. It does not permanently fill wrinkles or replace injectable treatments.
Can I use it around the eyes?
Avoid direct contact with the eyes and eyelids. Use a product specifically formulated for the eye area when additional moisture is needed there.
Is it suitable for nut allergies?
The formula contains shea butter and macadamia seed oil. Anyone with a nut allergy should consult their allergist or healthcare provider and review the product packaging before use.
Can I use it during pregnancy or breastfeeding?
The published formula does not list retinoids or exfoliating acids, but it contains lavender and rosewood oils. Consult your physician or qualified healthcare provider if you have concerns about introducing it during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
Can I apply makeup after using it?
For daytime use, remove any excess and allow the remaining product to absorb before applying sunscreen and makeup. Because the texture is rich, a thinner application will generally sit better beneath complexion products.
How should I store it?
Keep the jar tightly closed in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and heat. Use clean, dry hands or a spatula to avoid introducing water or debris into the jar.
