This nourishing facial cleansing oil effortlessly dissolves makeup, sunscreen, excess sebum and daily impurities without relying on the aggressive cleanse-and-strip cycle that can leave skin feeling tight or uncomfortable.
Massage it onto dry skin and the botanical oil blend begins breaking down oil-soluble buildup. Add water and the texture transforms into a lightweight, silky milk that rinses clean without a heavy or greasy finish.

How to use

Yes. GlyMed Plus lists Illuminating Cleansing Oil as suitable for oily, combination, normal, dry and sensitive skin.
Because the cleanser is formulated to emulsify with water, it is designed to lift away excess sebum and oil-based buildup and then rinse from the skin rather than behaving like a leave-on facial oil.
Is GlyMed Plus Illuminating Cleansing Oil Good for Acne-Prone Skin?
It can be used as part of an acne-prone skincare routine, particularly as a first cleanse for removing sunscreen, makeup and excess surface oil.
GlyMed+ describes the formula as suitable for oily and acne-prone skin and specifically designed to rinse clean after emulsification.
As with any new product, individual skin responses can vary.
Does Illuminating Cleansing Oil Remove Sunscreen?
Yes. This is one of the reasons we particularly like it as an evening cleanser.
Oil-based cleansers are well suited to dissolving oil-soluble products such as facial sunscreen, makeup and long-wear complexion products, allowing them to be rinsed away before your second cleanse.
Does GlyMed Plus Illuminating Cleansing Oil Remove Makeup?
Yes. Massage the cleansing oil directly onto dry skin to begin dissolving makeup before adding water.
For heavier or waterproof eye makeup, work gently around the eye area and avoid aggressive rubbing.
Do I Need to Double Cleanse After Using It?
Not necessarily every time, but we particularly recommend using Illuminating Cleansing Oil as the first step of an evening double cleanse when wearing sunscreen, makeup or heavier skincare products.
Your second cleanser can then be selected according to your skin type, condition and current routine.
Can Sensitive Skin Use GlyMed Plus Illuminating Cleansing Oil?
GlyMed Plus lists Illuminating Cleansing Oil as suitable for sensitive skin and designed to cleanse without stripping the skin's natural moisture barrier.
The formula does contain grapefruit peel oil and limonene, however, so highly reactive skin or individuals with known sensitivities to essential-oil components should review the ingredient list and patch test before use.
Is GlyMed Plus Illuminating Cleansing Oil Pregnancy Safe?
The formula does not contain retinoids or hydroquinone. GlyMed Plus nevertheless recommends speaking with your healthcare provider before introducing new skincare during pregnancy, cancer treatment, Accutane treatment or other physician-directed care.
