Brightening Cream for Dark Spots, Dullness and Uneven Skin Tone

Dermaceutic Radiance is an exfoliating brightening cream formulated to improve the appearance of pigment spots, dullness, uneven skin tone and irregular skin texture.

Its new, improved formula combines kojic acid, arbutin, niacinamide, propionic acid, mandelic acid and salicylic acid. These complementary ingredients help regulate the processes involved in visible pigmentation while gently exfoliating accumulated surface cells.

An advanced lamellar emulsion mimics the organization of the skin’s natural lipids to support skin compatibility, preserve the moisture barrier and optimize ingredient delivery.

With consistent evening use, Radiance helps reveal a brighter, smoother and more even-looking complexion.

Best For

Dermaceutic Radiance is especially suitable for skin experiencing:

  • Pigment spots and visible sun damage
  • Post-blemish pigmentation
  • Uneven or irregular-looking skin tone
  • Dullness and loss of radiance
  • Rough or uneven skin texture
  • Areas of concentrated discolouration
  • Visible signs of photoaging
  • Skin requiring progressive exfoliation and brightening
How It Works

Radiance combines targeted brightening ingredients with alpha and beta hydroxy acids to improve both visible pigmentation and uneven skin texture.

  • Kojic acid and arbutin help regulate tyrosinase activity, an important stage in melanin production. This helps gradually reduce the appearance of pigment spots and uneven skin tone.
  • Niacinamide helps limit the transfer of melanin to the skin’s surface while supporting a brighter, more uniform-looking complexion.
  • Hydroxyphenoxy propionic acid provides targeted brightening benefits and helps reduce the appearance of existing pigmentation while limiting the development of new visible spots.
  • Mandelic acid gently exfoliates accumulated surface cells and supports a smoother, more luminous-looking complexion.
  • Salicylic acid provides oil-soluble exfoliation, helping refine uneven texture, congestion and post-blemish marks.

The improved formula uses advanced lamellar emulsion technology. Its layered structure resembles the skin’s natural lipids, helping preserve the moisture barrier, improve skin compatibility and optimize ingredient penetration.

Clinical Results

In an in vivo study conducted over 28 days:

  • 100% agreed that their complexion appeared more even, luminous and visibly brighter
  • 95% agreed that Radiance helped limit the reappearance of existing pigment spots and the formation of new ones
  • 91% agreed that Radiance visibly reduced pigment spots

The study was conducted on 22 volunteers by an independent European research organization. Individual results may vary.

How to Use
  1. Apply in the evening to clean, completely dry skin.
  2. Distribute a thin, even layer over the full face, concentrating additional product on areas of visible pigmentation.
  3. Avoid the eye contour, eyelids, lips and mucous membranes.
  4. Begin with two applications per week. Gradually increase the frequency according to skin tolerance.

A three-month treatment protocol is recommended.

  • Allow Radiance to absorb before applying a moisturizer when additional hydration is needed.
  • Do not apply to irritated, sensitized or broken skin.
  • Do not combine Radiance in the same routine with other AHA products or retinol-based formulas.
  • Apply a broad-spectrum SPF 50 every morning and limit unprotected sun exposure.
  • Radiance is not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
Loshen & Crem’s Recommendation

Dermaceutic Radiance is an excellent option for clients who want to address uneven pigmentation and dullness without introducing retinol.

It is particularly suitable for clients concerned with widespread uneven skin tone rather than one isolated spot. For a single, concentrated area of pigmentation, Dermaceutic Yellow Cream may provide a more targeted application.

Although Radiance is designed for all skin types, it still contains several active exfoliating ingredients. Begin with two evenings per week and increase the frequency only when the skin remains calm and comfortable.

Keep the remainder of the evening routine simple. Follow with a gentle, barrier-supporting moisturizer and avoid exfoliating cleansers, scrubs, additional acids or retinol on the same evening.

Clients with deeper skin tones, particularly Fitzpatrick phototypes V and VI, should introduce Radiance carefully and monitor the skin for irritation. Excessive inflammation may make uneven pigmentation more persistent.

Daily sunscreen is essential. UV exposure can darken existing pigment spots and contribute to the formation of new discolouration.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is Dermaceutic Radiance used for?

Radiance is an evening brightening cream designed to improve the appearance of pigment spots, uneven skin tone, dullness and irregular skin texture.

What is different about the new Radiance formula?

The improved formula contains propionic acid and uses advanced lamellar emulsion technology. Dermaceutic has also removed mineral oil, phenoxyethanol and ethoxylated ingredients from the previous formula.

Should Radiance be applied to the full face?

Yes. Apply a thin layer across the full face, focusing additional attention on areas of visible pigmentation.

Can Radiance help with post-acne marks?

Radiance may help improve the appearance of brown post-blemish marks and uneven pigmentation. It will not correct raised, indented or textural acne scars.

What is the difference between Radiance and Yellow Cream?

Radiance is applied over the full face to address widespread dullness, uneven tone and pigmentation.

Yellow Cream is a concentrated spot corrector intended for precise application directly on localized dark spots.

What is the difference between Radiance and Mela Cream?

Radiance is a retinol-free brightening and exfoliating cream suitable for progressive treatment of dullness and uneven pigmentation.

Mela Cream contains retinol and is a more intensive corrective option for persistent or widespread pigmentation.

Does Radiance contain retinol?

No. The current Radiance formula does not contain retinol.

How often should I use Radiance?

Begin with two evening applications per week and gradually increase the frequency according to skin tolerance.

How long should I use Radiance?

Dermaceutic recommends a three-month treatment protocol. Results vary according to the type, depth and cause of the pigmentation.

Is Radiance suitable for sensitive skin?

Dermaceutic identifies Radiance as suitable for all skin types and having excellent skin tolerance. However, it contains several exfoliating ingredients, so sensitive skin should introduce it gradually.

Is Radiance suitable for deeper skin tones?

It can be used by all skin tones. Dermaceutic recommends additional attention for Fitzpatrick phototypes V and VI because these skin tones may be more sensitive to exfoliation.

Can I use Radiance with retinol?

No. Dermaceutic recommends not combining Radiance with retinol-based products in the same routine.

Can I use Radiance with other exfoliating acids?

Avoid combining it with additional AHA products in the same routine. Using several exfoliating treatments together may increase irritation.

Is tingling normal when using Radiance?

Temporary mild tingling may occur because the formula contains mandelic and salicylic acids. Reduce the frequency if persistent redness, burning or discomfort develops.

Can I use Radiance around my eyes?

No. Avoid the eye contour, eyelids and the area immediately beneath the eyes.

Do I need sunscreen while using Radiance?

Yes. Apply a broad-spectrum SPF 50 every morning and reapply as needed. Sun exposure can intensify existing pigment spots and contribute to new uneven pigmentation.

Can Radiance be used during pregnancy or breastfeeding?

No. Dermaceutic does not recommend Radiance during pregnancy or breastfeeding.

Is Radiance fragrance-free?

Yes. The current Radiance formula is fragrance-free.

Is Radiance vegan?
