How do I know I’m ready to move from Retinol 30 to 60?

You are using Retinol 30 every night with no redness, stinging or flaking, your barrier feels comfortable, and you have been consistent for a few months. If any of that is not true yet, the stronger cream will not get you there faster.

Our lens: when you step up, go back to once a week and build again. Your skin has to adapt to the new strength, even if retinol is not new to you. We check this with you during the consultation.

    In the evening, cleanse and let the skin dry completely. Patch test a discreet area at least 24 hours before your first full application.

  2. Apply Retinol 60

    Even if you already use retinol, start once a week for the first few weeks at this strength, then every other night for a month, then nightly only if your skin stays comfortable.

  3. Comfort as needed

    If your skin feels tight, follow with a gentle hydrating serum or barrier cream.

  4. SPF every morning

    Retinol makes skin more sensitive to the sun. Wear a broad-spectrum sunscreen every day while using it.

We don’t recommend it. Retinol 60 is for skin that has completed the Retinol 30 protocol comfortably. Starting at 30 gives better, steadier results with less irritation.
