Biologique Recherche Sérum Vivant is a multi-corrective face serum developed specifically for adult skin prone to persistent blemishes. Born from the cult legacy of Masque Vivant, this daily formula approaches imperfections as a sign of skin imbalance, not something to be aggressively stripped away. Its complementary prebiotic-postbiotic technology combines Yeast Extract, Inulin and Polylysine to help keep the skin's microbiome balanced while visibly reducing persistent blemishes, the look of associated redness, excess shine and uneven-looking texture. The skin progressively appears clearer, calmer and more balanced while its protective barrier and comfort are preserved. The serum is suitable for sensitive skin and is made using a cold-process method to help preserve the quality of its active ingredients.

Apply morning and evening after completing the Biologique Recherche Initialization Phase (cleansing milk, then Lotion P50).

Dispense a few drops and apply to the face, neck and décolleté, avoiding the eye area.

Gently press or smooth the serum into the skin until absorbed.

Follow with any additional prescribed Sérums Authentiques. When combining several, apply Sérum Vivant immediately before Colostrum VG and/or Sérum Spectral.

Finish with the moisturizer selected for your Skin Instant.

A slightly viscous, gelled aqueous serum that feels lightweight and silky on the skin. It absorbs with a soft, non-greasy finish, never heavy. Its distinctive colour and natural scent come from its yeast-derived ingredients.
Works well with
Cleanse with the milk selected for your Skin Instant, then apply the appropriate Lotion P50. Use Masque Vivant at the frequency your esthetician recommends. After Sérum Vivant, layer any other prescribed Sérums Authentiques, finish with your Biologique Recherche cream, and add sunscreen in the morning. The full protocol should be personalized to your sensitivity, oiliness, redness, dehydration and barrier condition.

Masque Vivant is an intensive mask used periodically. Sérum Vivant is a lightweight, leave-on serum designed for daily morning and evening application.
Does Sérum Vivant dry out the skin?
It was formulated to help control excess oil without aggressive drying. It also helps reduce transepidermal water loss and supports the skin barrier.
What does it smell like?
The serum has a distinctive natural scent associated with its yeast-derived ingredients. Its formula also lists aromatic compounds such as linalool and cinnamal, so check the full ingredient list if you are sensitive to fragrance ingredients.
