A lightweight 10-form hyaluronic acid serum for plumper, smoother and deeply hydrated-looking skin
Le Mieux Hyaluronic Serum is an award-winning hydration concentrate formulated with ten forms of hyaluronic acid to replenish moisture without a heavy or greasy finish. Its silky gel texture helps soften dehydration lines, improve visible suppleness and leave the complexion looking smoother, fresher and more luminous.
The formula combines Le Mieux’s Hya10+ Complex with galactomyces ferment filtrate, rice bran water, polyglutamic acid, panthenol and a xylitol-derived moisture complex. Antioxidant-rich green tea, ginkgo biloba and vitamin E complement the hydrating ingredients while supporting a healthier-looking complexion.
Particularly well suited to oily, combination, normal and blemish-prone skin, Hyaluronic Serum can also be used by dry skin when layered beneath a moisturizer. It is a hydration serum—not a replacement for the lipids and protective ingredients found in a complete moisturizer.

Hyaluronic Serum is particularly well suited to:

- Dullness caused by moisture loss
- Rough or uneven-looking texture
- Oily skin that still feels tight
- Combination and normal skin

Dehydration can affect every skin type, including oily skin. Excess oil and insufficient water are not mutually exclusive—skin can absolutely manage to be both shiny and thirsty at the same time.
Why It Is Different
Hyaluronic Serum contains ten named forms and derivatives of hyaluronic acid rather than relying on a single form. These ingredients differ in molecular structure, size, charge and film-forming behaviour, allowing them to support hydration in complementary ways across the skin’s surface and upper layers.
The formula also combines hyaluronic acid with additional humectants and moisture-supporting ingredients rather than asking one ingredient to do all the work.
- Hya10+ Complex: Ten forms of hyaluronic acid help attract, bind and retain moisture for smoother, plumper-looking skin.
- Galactomyces Ferment Filtrate: Provides antioxidant and conditioning support while promoting a more refined-looking complexion.
- Polyglutamic Acid: A humectant that complements hyaluronic acid and helps maintain surface hydration.
- Xylitylglucoside, Anhydroxylitol and Xylitol: Work together to support moisture balance and reduce the feeling of dehydration.
- Panthenol: Helps hydrate, soften and comfort the skin.
- Methyl Gluceth-20: Provides lightweight humectant hydration.
- Green Tea Extract: Offers antioxidant and skin-conditioning benefits.
- Ginkgo Biloba Leaf Extract: Helps support the skin against visible environmental stress.
- Rice Bran Water and Rice Bran Oil: Condition the skin and support softness without creating a heavy finish.
- Tocotrienols and Tocopherol: Forms of vitamin E that provide antioxidant support.
How to Use
Use morning and evening.
After cleansing and toning, apply three to five drops to the face and neck. Gently press the serum into the skin until absorbed.
For best results, apply to slightly damp—not dripping wet—skin and follow with moisturizer. This gives the humectants water to bind while the moisturizer helps reduce subsequent moisture loss.
In the morning, finish with broad-spectrum sunscreen. Avoid direct contact with the eyes.
If the serum feels tacky or begins pilling beneath other products, reduce the amount and allow each layer to absorb before continuing.
Loshen & Crem’s Recommendation
This is often the first serum we recommend when someone says, “My skin is oily, so I cannot possibly be dehydrated”—while also describing tightness, flaking or makeup that suddenly looks like it has filed for separation.
Hyaluronic Serum gives the skin water-based hydration without adding a rich or occlusive texture. It is especially useful for combination, oily and blemish-prone clients who avoid moisturizer because they associate hydration with heaviness.
Apply three drops to slightly damp skin and always follow with moisturizer. This step matters even more in Alberta’s dry climate. Hyaluronic acid attracts and holds water, but it does not provide the same protective lipid layer as a cream. Used alone, it may leave very dry skin feeling tight once the water begins to evaporate.
Most clients do not need to layer Hyaluronic Serum with several other hyaluronic acid products. If your toner, treatment serum and moisturizer already contain multiple humectants, adding more is not automatically better. Choose the serum because dehydration is the concern—not because ten sounds more exciting than nine.
Complete the Le Mieux Hydration Routine
- Cleanse: Phyto-Nutrient Cleansing Gel
- Tone: Essence Toner or mist with Iso-Cell Recovery Solution
- Hydrate: Apply three to five drops of Hyaluronic Serum
- Eye Care: Eye Wrinkle Corrector
- Moisturize: Essence Moisturizer or 24 Hr. Age Defying Cream
- Protect: Apply broad-spectrum sunscreen every morning
For oily or combination skin, choose a lightweight moisturizer. For dry or mature skin, follow with a richer cream to help seal in hydration.
Hyaluronic Serum, TGF-β Booster or Iso-Cell Recovery Solution?
All three products support hydration, but they serve different priorities.
- Choose Hyaluronic Serum when dehydration, tightness and fine moisture lines are the primary concerns. It provides concentrated hydration without an intensive peptide treatment.
- Choose TGF-β Booster when dehydration is accompanied by early wrinkles, reduced firmness, loss of bounce or uneven texture. It combines the Hya10+ Complex with peptides and additional age-supportive ingredients.
- Choose Iso-Cell Recovery Solution when you want an ultra-light mineral and amino-acid mist that can refresh the skin throughout the day.
- Use Iso-Cell Recovery Solution before Hyaluronic Serum when the skin benefits from an additional layer of water-based hydration.
- Do not automatically layer Hyaluronic Serum and TGF-β Booster. Both contain the Hya10+ Complex, so using both may be unnecessarily repetitive for many clients.
Hyaluronic Acid and Molecular Weight
Hyaluronic acid is a humectant—a substance that attracts and binds water. Different forms and molecular weights can behave differently within a cosmetic formula.
Larger forms primarily help create a hydrating film across the surface of the skin. Smaller or hydrolyzed forms may distribute more readily within the upper layers of the stratum corneum. Crosslinked and modified forms can offer different film-forming, adhesion or moisture-retention properties.
This does not mean that a topical hyaluronic serum travels deeply into the dermis or replaces the hyaluronic acid used in injectable fillers. The exact molecular weights and product-specific penetration data are not published on the current Le Mieux product page, so claims that the serum hydrates every “layer” of the skin would be too broad.
Its proven cosmetic role is hydration: helping the skin retain water so it appears smoother, softer and more supple.
Dehydrated Skin and Dry Skin Are Not the Same
Dehydrated skin lacks water, while dry skin lacks sufficient oil or protective lipids. A person can have one concern or both simultaneously.
Hyaluronic Serum primarily addresses dehydration by attracting and holding water. A moisturizer adds emollient and occlusive ingredients that soften the skin and slow moisture loss.
- Oily but dehydrated skin: Use Hyaluronic Serum beneath a lightweight moisturizer.
- Dry and dehydrated skin: Use Hyaluronic Serum beneath a richer cream.
- Balanced skin with seasonal dehydration: Add the serum when needed and adjust the moisturizer according to climate.
- Very compromised skin: Focus on barrier-supportive products containing ceramides, cholesterol or other replenishing lipids rather than relying on hyaluronic acid alone.

Frequently Asked Questions
Who does Loshen & Crem recommend Hyaluronic Serum for?
We recommend it for skin that feels tight, looks dull or shows fine dehydration lines. It is especially useful for oily, combination and blemish-prone clients who need water-based hydration without a rich texture.
Can oily skin be dehydrated?
Absolutely. Oil describes sebum production, while dehydration describes insufficient water. Oily skin may still feel tight, flaky or uncomfortable and can benefit from a lightweight hydrating serum.
Is Hyaluronic Serum suitable for blemish-prone skin?
Le Mieux specifically positions it for blemish-prone skin. Its lightweight texture provides hydration without relying on a heavy cream base. It is not an acne treatment and will not clear breakouts on its own.
Can dry skin use it?
Yes, but dry skin should follow with a moisturizer containing emollient or barrier-supportive ingredients. Hyaluronic Serum supplies hydration but may not provide enough lipid support by itself.
Does it replace moisturizer?
No. It is a hydrating serum. A moisturizer helps seal in that hydration and reduce water loss, particularly in dry climates or for dry and mature skin.
Should I apply it to wet or dry skin?
We prefer applying it to slightly damp skin. The skin should not be dripping wet, as excessive water can dilute the application and encourage pilling.
Can it be used morning and evening?
Yes. Le Mieux recommends applying three to five drops to the face and neck both morning and night.
Does the serum contain ten forms of hyaluronic acid?
Yes. The current published ingredient list identifies ten forms or derivatives within Le Mieux’s Hya10+ Complex.
Do the ten forms penetrate ten different layers of skin?
No. The number of hyaluronic acid forms should not be interpreted as ten separate skin layers. They have different structures and cosmetic behaviours, but Le Mieux does not publish product-specific penetration data demonstrating ten distinct depths.
Does low-molecular-weight hyaluronic acid penetrate deeply into the skin?
Smaller forms may distribute more readily within the upper stratum corneum than very large hyaluronic acid molecules. It would be inaccurate to say that a cosmetic serum penetrates deeply into the dermis without product-specific evidence.
Will it fill wrinkles?
It can visibly plump dehydration lines by increasing moisture within the skin’s outer layers. It cannot physically fill deeper wrinkles or replace lost facial volume.
Is it the same as injectable hyaluronic acid?
No. Injectable hyaluronic acid is placed beneath the skin by a qualified medical professional to create structural volume. A topical serum hydrates the skin’s surface and upper layers.
Can I use it with TGF-β Booster?
Yes, but both products contain the Hya10+ Complex. Most clients can choose one according to their primary concern. If using both, apply Hyaluronic Serum first and TGF-β Booster second.
Can I use it with vitamin C, retinol or exfoliating acids?
Yes. Hyaluronic Serum does not contain retinol or exfoliating acids and can provide supportive hydration within an active routine. If irritation is already present, pause the product causing the reaction rather than using hydration to push through it.
Can I mix it with foundation?
It may be mixed with a non-SPF foundation, but changing a makeup formula can affect coverage, wear and finish. We prefer applying Hyaluronic Serum first, allowing it to absorb and then applying foundation over properly moisturized skin.
Never mix it directly into sunscreen or an SPF foundation when you rely on that product for sun protection, as mixing may interfere with an even protective film.
Why does hyaluronic acid sometimes make my skin feel tight?
Humectants attract water but do not create a complete protective lipid layer. In a very dry environment, applying hyaluronic acid without moisturizer may leave the skin feeling tight. Follow with a cream or lotion suited to your skin type.
Can the serum pill beneath makeup or sunscreen?
Pilling is usually caused by using too much product, applying layers too quickly or combining incompatible textures. Reduce the amount, press rather than rub and allow each layer to settle before continuing.
Is it fragrance-free?
No parfum, fragrance or essential oil appears in the current published ingredient list. Individual sensitivity to ferments or botanical extracts can still vary.
Is it suitable for sensitive skin?
The fragrance-free published formula may suit many sensitive skin types. Patch test first if your skin is highly reactive, and avoid applying it to actively irritated or broken skin.
Can it be used after microneedling, laser or a professional peel?
Only when approved by the professional who performed the treatment. Hyaluronic Serum is a cosmetic product and is not sterile, so it should not automatically be applied to freshly treated or compromised skin.
Can Hyaluronic Serum be used during pregnancy or breastfeeding?
The current published formula does not list retinoids or exfoliating acids. However, consult your physician or qualified healthcare provider if you have concerns about introducing any product during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
