A considered LED ritual, in 12 minutes. Therabody TheraFace Mask Glo is a cordless LED face mask that brings red, red + infrared and blue light into one guided routine. Its 504 light sources provide full-face coverage, while an optional vibration setting gently massages the scalp.

What each light does

• Red light (633 nm): Helps improve the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles and dark spots.
• Red + infrared light (633 nm and 830 nm): Supports firmer-looking skin and helps reduce the appearance of wrinkles.
• Blue light (415 nm): Targets acne-associated bacteria and is intended for mild to moderate inflammatory acne.

The mask moves through all three lights in its preset 12-minute routine. You can also advance through the lights using the button on the device. The scalp massage can be used with the lights, turned off, or enjoyed on its own.

The evidence, in context

In a 12-week study, 104 participants used TheraFace Mask Glo’s 12-minute LED routine six days a week. Expert assessments found improvements in skin radiance, texture and firmness compared with participants’ starting measurements. How to use

1. Cleanse your face and let your skin dry completely. Remove makeup before putting on the mask.
2. Position the built-in eye shields comfortably and adjust both straps until the mask feels secure, without being too tight.
3. Press and hold the LED button to begin. The preset runs for 12 minutes: four minutes of red, four minutes of red + infrared, and four minutes of blue light.
4. Use the vibration button to choose a scalp massage setting or turn vibration off.

Therabody recommends the LED routine six days per week. After your session, continue with your usual skincare routine.
