A refreshing gel facial wash formulated to remove makeup, excess oil and daily impurities while helping maintain the skin’s essential moisture balance. Its micro-foaming cleansing system is paired with green, brown and red algae extracts to leave the complexion feeling smooth, fresh and comfortably clean.

How to use
- Use morning and evening.
- Lather a pea-sized amount with warm water between the palms. Gently massage over the face, neck and décolletage using light circular motions, avoiding direct contact with the eyes.

Use lukewarm rather than hot water and massage gently. A cleanser does not need to leave the skin feeling squeaky to be effective; persistent tightness after rinsing is a sign that the formula may be too purifying for your skin’s current condition.
For waterproof makeup, long-wear foundation or water-resistant sunscreen, begin with an oil or balm cleanser and follow with Phyto-Nutrient Cleansing Gel.
Although the formula includes hydrating and soothing ingredients, it also contains a robust blend of cleansing agents and aromatic botanical extracts. Very dry, sensitized or barrier-compromised skin may be better suited to Peptide Foam Cleanser.

Choose Peptide Foam Cleanser if your skin is dry, dehydrated or mature and you want a richer, more conditioning cleanse with botanical oils, plant butters and peptides.
Choose Brightening Cleanser if your skin is normal to oily, dull or congested and you want the exfoliating benefits of 2% mandelic acid. Mandelic acid is derived from bitter almonds, so Brightening Cleanser is not recommended for those with nut allergies.

What skin types is Phyto-Nutrient Cleansing Gel best for?
Le Mieux recommends it for normal skin. We find its lightweight gel texture particularly appropriate for normal and normal-to-combination skin experiencing excess oil, congestion or an uneven texture.
Does it provide a deep pore cleanse?
It thoroughly removes excess oil, makeup and surface debris that can contribute to congested-looking pores. However, cleansers do not physically reach into or change the size of a pore.
Does it remove makeup?
It can remove everyday makeup and surface impurities. For waterproof eye makeup, long-wear foundation or water-resistant sunscreen, use it as the second step of a double cleanse.
Is it suitable for sensitive skin?
The formula includes aloe vera, chamomile and panthenol, but it also contains multiple cleansing agents and aromatic botanical extracts. Highly sensitive or barrier-compromised skin should patch test carefully or consider a more conditioning cleanser.
Is Phyto-Nutrient Cleansing Gel exfoliating?
No dedicated AHA, BHA or PHA exfoliating acid is listed. Its primary role is to cleanse and refresh the skin rather than chemically exfoliate it.
Can it help with acne or breakouts?
Removing excess oil, makeup and surface buildup may support a clearer-looking complexion, but Phyto-Nutrient Cleansing Gel is not an acne medication or treatment.
Can dry skin use it?
Some normal-to-dry skin may tolerate it, but it would not be our first recommendation for consistently dry, depleted or tight-feeling skin. Peptide Foam Cleanser offers a richer, more conditioning alternative.
What do the algae extracts do?
The formula combines green, red, brown and blue-green algae. These extracts provide skin-conditioning, moisture-binding and antioxidant compounds, helping the complexion feel smoother and more nourished after cleansing.
Does hyaluronic acid in a cleanser hydrate the skin?
Hyaluronic acid helps attract water and support a softer surface feel. Because this is a rinse-off formula, it does not replace a leave-on hydrating serum or moisturizer.
Can it be used every day?
Yes. It is designed for morning and evening use. If twice-daily cleansing contributes to tightness or dryness, use it in the evening and adjust your morning cleanse according to your skin’s needs.
Is it fragrance-free?
