The Loshen perspective

Why you’ll love it.

A few drops of comfort for dry, depleted skin.

Liquid Gold is the oil we love for dry, depleted skin, especially in winter. Squalane, black currant seed oil, macadamia esters and a stable, oil-soluble vitamin C leave skin soft, supple and glowing, and plump the look of fine lines.

It is also our favourite facial massage oil, and the nourishing finish after the Enzyme Exfoliator and Multi-Vitamin Freeze Mask. If your skin is oilier, massage it in, then remove, or keep it for the neck and décolleté.

Skin knowledge

Beyond the ingredient list.

Liquid Gold or Derma Rich Moisturizer?

They do different jobs. Liquid Gold is pure oil: lipids, fatty acids and vitamin C that soften dry skin. Derma Rich is a cream, with water-loving ingredients like aloe and hyaluronic acid, plus oils to hold that moisture in. Dry skin lacks oil; dehydrated skin lacks water. Many people have both.

Our lens: in winter, use them together. A few drops of Liquid Gold first, then Derma Rich on top. If your skin is oilier, keep the oil for massage or for drier areas only.

Is this right for you?

A little guidance for your next step.

A thoughtful choice if…

Your skin is dry, depleted or mature and needs comfort, especially in winter, or you want a beautiful oil for facial massage and at-home treatments.

Consider first…

It contains essential oils (lavender, rose, sandalwood, Roman chamomile, frankincense) and coconut oil. If your skin is reactive or prone to congestion, speak with our estheticians first.

Product questions

Your questions, answered.

A few useful details before making it part of your routine.

Can I use it if my skin is oily?

Yes, as a massage oil: massage it in, then remove. Or apply it only to drier areas such as the neck and décolleté. It contains coconut oil, so if you are prone to congestion, ask our estheticians first.

Does it contain essential oils or fragrance?

Yes, essential oils of lavender, rose, sandalwood, Roman chamomile and frankincense. If your skin is reactive, patch test first or speak with our estheticians.

Oil before or after moisturizer?

With Liquid Gold, before: massage it in after cleansing, then follow with your moisturizer.

How do I use it as part of an at-home facial?

Up to twice a week: Enzyme Exfoliator, then the Multi-Vitamin Freeze Mask, then a few drops of Liquid Gold massaged into the face and neck.

Can I use it around the eyes?

No. Avoid the eye area. For that zone, a dedicated eye treatment is a better choice.
