The Loshen perspective

Why you’ll love it.

Smoother, brighter skin, without losing hydration.

Lactic Acid Serum is the one we suggest when skin feels rough and looks dull or uneven. Lactic acid is one of the gentler AHAs and it helps the skin hold on to moisture, so the surface smooths out without feeling stripped. Salicylic acid keeps pores clear, and niacinamide helps balance oil and even out tone.

It suits normal, combination and oily skin, and it is a lovely way to work on crepey texture, small bumps or sun-related marks. Mixed with the AHA Active Gel, it also becomes our Home Facial Peel Kit.

Skin knowledge

Beyond the ingredient list.

Lactic Acid Serum or Gentle AHA Cream?

Both rely on lactic acid, but in very different textures. Lactic Acid Serum is a light, fast-absorbing serum that adds salicylic acid and niacinamide, so it suits normal, combination and oily skin. Gentle AHA Cream wraps lactic acid in a rich, comforting cream for dry and sensitive skin.

Our lens: if your skin gets shiny by midday or you see congestion, choose the serum and follow with your usual moisturizer. If your skin feels tight or reacts easily, the cream is the kinder first step into exfoliation.

Is this right for you?

A little guidance for your next step.

A thoughtful choice if…

Your skin is normal, combination or oily, it feels rough or looks dull, and you want to work on texture, small bumps, crepey areas or an uneven tone.

Consider first…

If you are new to acids, start every other evening. Don’t use it on the same evening as retinol until you know how your skin tolerates both, and wear broad-spectrum sunscreen every morning. Very dry or reactive skin may do better with Gentle AHA Cream.

Product questions

Your questions, answered.

A few useful details before making it part of your routine.

How often should I use it?

If you are new to exfoliating acids, start every other evening. Once your skin is comfortable, you can use it most evenings.

Can I use it with retinol?

Not on the same evening at first. Alternate nights until you know how your skin tolerates both.

Is it suitable for sensitive skin?

It is gentler than many acid serums, but it contains ethanol and salicylic acid. If your skin is very dry or reactive, Gentle AHA Cream is the kinder choice; patch test first either way.

Which size should I choose?

The 15 ml is a good way to see how your skin likes it. The 50 ml is made for regular use.

Does it contain fragrance?

No. There is no fragrance or essential oil in the ingredient list.
