Do I need a richer cream in winter, or just more of my usual one?

More of a light cream gives you more water, not more comfort. When the air gets cold and dry, skin loses moisture faster and needs more lipids, the oils and fatty acids that soften it and help hold hydration in. That is what a richer cream like Derma Rich brings.

Our lens: if your skin feels tight within an hour of moisturizing, or flakes around the nose and cheeks, it is time to change texture rather than add layers. Many of our clients use Derma Rich from November to April and a lighter cream the rest of the year.

If your skin is oily or creams tend to feel heavy, Antioxidant Moisturizer will suit you better. Derma Rich contains wheat germ oil and lavender oil: if you have a wheat allergy or react to essential oils, speak with our estheticians first.
