The Loshen perspective

Why you’ll love it.

Facial-room glow, at your own sink.

Enzymes are one of the gentlest ways to exfoliate: pineapple and papaya enzymes dissolve the dead cells that make skin look dull and feel rough, while fine particles add just a little polish. The result is smoother, brighter skin that drinks in whatever comes next.

Our favourite way to use it is the full Biophora sequence: enzyme mask, a few minutes with Bioactive Solution, rinse, then the Multi-Vitamin Freeze Mask. Once or twice a week is plenty, and never on freshly waxed or irritated skin.

Skin knowledge

Beyond the ingredient list.

Enzyme Exfoliator or Bioactive Solution?

They are not either/or. Bioactive Solution is a daily exfoliating toner with glycolic and salicylic acids. Enzyme Exfoliator is a weekly mask: fruit enzymes and fine particles for a deeper reset that leaves skin smoother and brighter.

Our lens: use them together, the way Biophora intended, once or twice a week, massaging a little Bioactive Solution over the enzyme mask. If your skin isn’t used to acids, start with the enzyme mask on its own and add the toner step later.

Is this right for you?

A little guidance for your next step.

A thoughtful choice if…

Your skin looks dull, feels rough or congested, or tone looks uneven, and you want a weekly at-home treatment that leaves it smoother and brighter.

Consider first…

Skip it on irritated, sunburned or freshly waxed skin. It contains fennel oil, so patch test if you react to essential oils. If you follow it with Bioactive Solution, wear SPF every day.

Product questions

Your questions, answered.

A few useful details before making it part of your routine.

How often should I use it?

Once or twice a week. More is not better with exfoliation: give your skin a few days between treatments.

Do I need Bioactive Solution to use it?

No, it works on its own. Biophora’s full method adds a few minutes of Bioactive Solution over the mask to boost the exfoliation; skip that step if your skin isn’t used to acids.

Can I use it if I use retinol?

Yes, but not on the same evening. Keep your retinol night and your enzyme night separate, and skip the mask if your skin is flaking or sensitive.

Is it suitable for sensitive skin?

Enzymes are among the gentler ways to exfoliate, but it is still an exfoliant and contains fennel oil. Patch test first, use it on its own without the Bioactive Solution step, and skip it on irritated or freshly waxed skin.

Does it contain fragrance or essential oils?

There is no added fragrance, but it contains fennel oil. If your skin reacts to essential oils, patch test first or speak with our estheticians.
