Sensitive skin often starts to settle the day you stop over-cleansing it. Calming Cleanser is a soft, pH-balanced gel that removes oil, impurities and makeup without stripping, with aloe vera and vitamins C and E to keep the skin hydrated and comfortable.

We use it to open Biophora’s Sensitive and Rosacea Prone routines. If your skin is very dry and feels tight even after a gentle gel, Latte Blu’s creamy texture may be the more comfortable choice.

Both are gentle choices for sensitive skin. Calming Cleanser is a light, rinse-off gel with aloe and vitamins C and E. Latte Blu is a creamy cleanser with hyaluronic acid and peptides that leaves more hydration behind, made for skin that feels tight after cleansing.

Our lens: if your skin is sensitive but not especially dry, or you like the feel of a gel, Calming Cleanser is your match. If your skin is dry, dehydrated or feels tight within minutes of rinsing, reach for Latte Blu, at least through the winter.

Will it remove makeup?

Yes, everyday makeup comes off easily. For heavy or long-wear makeup, cleanse twice: the first pass lifts makeup, the second cleans the skin.

Does it contain fragrance or essential oils?

There is no added fragrance; its light scent comes from grapefruit oil. If your skin reacts to essential oils, patch test on the jawline for a few days before using it all over.

Can I use it with retinol or acids?

Yes, and it is a smart choice when you do. Because it contains no exfoliating acids, it keeps cleansing gentle on the evenings you use retinol or an exfoliant.

Can I use it during pregnancy?

It contains no retinoids or exfoliating acids, and it rinses off. As with any product during pregnancy or breastfeeding, check with your healthcare provider if you have questions.

Is it suitable for oily skin?

It will clean oily skin well, but it is designed for comfort rather than pore care. If your skin is oily or congestion-prone without being sensitive, Bioactive Cleanser is the better match.
