An intensively nourishing body moisturizer created to replenish dry skin, support the skin barrier and restore lasting softness and comfort.
Daily exposure to cold weather, dry air, friction and seasonal change can leave the skin on the body feeling depleted, rough or less supple. Susanne Kaufmann Body Butter surrounds the skin in a rich yet fast-absorbing blend of olive oil, shea butter, honey, beeswax and whey.
Olive oil and sunflower seed oil replenish the skin with moisture and essential fatty acids, while shea butter and beeswax help reduce moisture loss and protect against dehydration. Honey, glycerin and whey support hydration and leave the skin feeling soft, smooth and comforted.
The buttery texture melts effortlessly into the skin without an excessively heavy or sticky finish. Skin feels velvety, supple and deeply nourished from shoulders to toes.
Benefits:

- Anyone who prefers a rich but fast-absorbing body moisturizer
Why It Is Different:
Susanne Kaufmann Body Butter combines the comfort of a traditional rich body butter with a texture that melts into the skin and absorbs beautifully.
The formula is made with 99.2% ingredients from natural origin and combines plant oils, shea butter and beeswax with honey and whey. This layered blend helps attract moisture, replenish lipids and create a light protective veil that reduces moisture loss.
Unlike Body Butter for the Senses, the original Body Butter has a light, fruity fragrance. Body Butter for the Senses offers the same intensive nourishment with the grounding Alpine fragrance associated with Susanne Kaufmann Bath for the Senses. The formula, application directions and current study results are confirmed by Susanne Kaufmann.
How It Works:
Replenishes: Olive oil, sunflower seed oil and shea butter provide emollient lipids that help soften dry, rough-feeling skin.
Hydrates: Glycerin, honey and pentylene glycol help attract and retain moisture within the skin.
Protects: Shea butter and beeswax create a comforting, breathable layer that helps reduce moisture loss.
Conditions: Whey powder and vitamin E support a smooth, supple and healthy-looking finish.
Texture and Fragrance:
Body Butter has a rich, buttery texture that melts as it is massaged into the skin. Despite its nourishing consistency, it absorbs well and leaves the body feeling velvety rather than heavily coated.
The original formula has a light, fruity fragrance. For the signature ylang-ylang, patchouli and lavender-inspired scent of Bath for the Senses, choose Body Butter for the Senses.
Proven Results:
In a 28-day clinical study involving 22 participants, skin moisture improved by 6% when measured with a Corneometer® CM 825.
In a separate 28-day user trial involving 22 participants:
- 100% said their skin felt nourished
- 100% said their skin felt softer and smoother
- 100% said the product provided lasting moisture
- 100% said the product moisturized dry skin
- 95% said their body looked glowing
- 95% said the product did not feel sticky after application
Results are based on manufacturer-provided clinical and user trials. Individual results may vary.
How to Use:
Apply daily to clean skin and massage into the body using slow, upward movements.
Pay particular attention to areas prone to dryness, including the elbows, knees and heels. For enhanced absorption and moisture retention, apply after bathing or showering while the skin is still slightly damp.
Because the formula contains ingredients from natural sources, its colour and appearance may vary slightly.
The Complete Body Ritual:
- Cleanse the body with Susanne Kaufmann Body Wash.
- Once or twice weekly, use Refining Scalp & Body Scrub to smooth rough texture.
- Gently pat the skin dry, leaving it slightly damp.
- Massage Body Butter over the body using slow, upward movements.
- Apply a little extra to the elbows, knees, heels and other dry areas.
Loshen & Crem’s Recommendation:
This is the Body Butter we recommend when nourishment is the priority. Apply it while the skin is still slightly damp—the formula spreads more easily, and it helps hold onto the water already present on the skin.
When skin feels particularly depleted, blend a few drops of Susanne Kaufmann Pomegranate Body Oil into the Body Butter in the palm of your hand before applying. The combination creates a richer, more enveloping finish without requiring two separate layers.
Which Susanne Kaufmann Body Butter Should I Choose?

|---|---|---|
| Primary focus | Intensive moisture and barrier comfort | Intensive moisture with a sensorial evening ritual |
| Fragrance | Light and fruity | Grounding fragrance inspired by Bath for the Senses |
| Key ingredients | Olive oil, shea butter, honey, whey and beeswax | Same core nourishing ingredients |
| Best for | Everyday use and very dry skin | Evening use and fragrance lovers |
| Size | 200 ml | 200 ml |
The nourishing formulas are extremely similar. The principal reason to choose between them is the fragrance experience—not a major difference in moisturizing performance.
