Red or Blue LED? A Guide to Choosing an Omnilux Mask
Choosing an LED mask starts with the concern you want to address. Different devices use different wavelengths and treatment schedules, so the colour of the light is only part of the decision.
Omnilux Contour or Omnilux Clear?
| Device | Light | Manufacturer’s intended focus |
|---|---|---|
| Omnilux Contour | Red and near-infrared | The appearance of fine lines and wrinkles |
| Omnilux Clear | Blue and red | Mild to moderate acne |
According to Omnilux, Contour and Clear are designed for different uses. Contour should not be treated as an acne device simply because both products are LED masks.
Follow the instructions for your exact device
Check the current instructions for session length, frequency, preparation and eye-safety guidance. More time under the light is not an automatic improvement, and schedules should not be borrowed from a different mask.
Read the contraindications before purchase. If you have a photosensitive condition, take medication that can increase light sensitivity or have a relevant medical concern, ask your clinician and the manufacturer whether the device is suitable.
Make room for a realistic routine
Before choosing a mask, ask yourself when you would use it and which steps you already enjoy. A device should have a clear purpose and a schedule you can follow.
We can help you compare the options and understand the product instructions. We will not recommend one mask as a solution for every skin concern.
Explore Omnilux or ask us about the differences.
