Mind Over Matter

Mind Over Matter

Wait. What? We're not talking about skin?

Not today, folks! You are a whole human being, and what goes on underneath your skin and in your mind has just as much to do with how well you glow as your skincare routine. So, today, we're talking about the power of your mind.

The power of mindset is a profound force that should never be underestimated. Our thoughts and beliefs can influence our actions and ultimately determine our success. A positive and growth-oriented mindset is essential to unlocking our full potential in our personal and professional lives.

However, this is all easier said than done. Life can be overwhelming with the busyness of it all just trying to balance day-to-day life and social media boasting the successes of strangers, making our goals seem unachievable.

How do others seemingly have a perfect life while we struggle to figure it out?

One key aspect of developing a healthy mindset is learning to embrace failure. Instead of viewing setbacks as evidence of our shortcomings, we should see them as opportunities for growth and learning. By adopting this shift in perspective, we can build resilience and develop a more optimistic outlook, which can help us overcome obstacles and achieve our goals.

Resilience is the muscle of solid comebacks. When we get back up every time we get knocked down, we strengthen that muscle and can face the world with more ferocity.

FOCUS ON THE NOW. Where attention goes, energy flows.

The mind can be overwrought with dangerous thoughts when unsure of the unknown or too concerned with what others think. That worry and strife can cause physical sensations in the body, such as heart palpitations, sleeplessness, headaches, night sweats, and more. It can cause analysis paralysis, and nothing gets accomplished. So jump off that runaway train and get into the moment; your thoughts are the only thing you control. Calming your mind will have a calming effect on your body.

But why? Why are we doing this? It's exhausting!

Another crucial element of cultivating the right mindset is having a clear sense of purpose. Knowing why we're pursuing our goals makes us more likely to stay motivated and committed, even in the face of distractions or challenges. We can maintain our direction and work towards a meaningful objective by focusing on our purpose. The purpose is the heart of our intentions.

Count your blessings.

Finally, cultivating a sense of gratitude and appreciation can aid us in building resilience and strengthening our relationships with others. When we take the time to reflect on the good things in our lives and express gratitude for them, we develop a positive outlook that can help us see challenges as opportunities rather than threats. This can lead to a more fulfilling and enjoyable life. Set time aside to count your blessings, and always return to gratitude when your mind derails.

Rinse and Repeat.

Mindset isn't an overnight decision. We must make it every day, just like deciding what's for dinner. It's a practice like any other. You need to exercise and eat well if you want a healthy body. What you feed your mind determines your outlook and how you FEEL inside, creating the life you have in front of you. This includes who we surround ourselves with, what we listen to, and what we give attention to.

Our mindset can either propel us forward or hold us back. By embracing failure, finding purpose, and cultivating gratitude, we can build the mental strength and resilience to achieve our goals and live fulfilling lives. It's essential to remember that our thoughts and beliefs have a powerful impact on our lives, and by cultivating a positive and growth-oriented mindset, we can achieve great things.

You glow differently when you’re happy and feel confident. Keep them guessing! ;)
